A lot of people stay there in tents (it looks like the camping grounds of a festival) and I guess they all turn up for lunch around the same time. Cabo San Juan del Guia has nice beaches and a beautiful spot on top of a hill right on the coast line with amazing views. A big part of this path has to be shared with horses which turn the path into a muddy mess and the smell of their droppings was pungent. From La Piscina it's about 30 minutes to Cabo San Juan del Guia. A line of rocks across the bay breaks the waves and lessens the strength of the current. The next beach, La Piscina, is narrower still. Life guards makes sure you don't go in too far. Just before you get there you have to wade through water about ankle deep or you climb the rocks and make a jump. It's about 20 minutes to the next beach, La Aranilla. La Poza Sagrada, which is a natural pool of great importance for the indigenous people of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, a place where you can take a. Life guards make sure you're not being stupid. Arrefices has a beach (very, very wide) but you can't swim because the current will drag you right out. It has some very nice vistas of the coast. The path varies quite a bit from wooden walk ways to rocks and loose sans. From CaƱaveral it's about an hour's walk to Arrefices (the path is marked).
